On December 17th, Yang Zhenbin, Chair of University Council, Jilin University, met with Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre. Chen came to Jilin University for the launching ceremony of 2019 ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp. Kong Roatlomang (from Cambodia), Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division of ASEAN-China Centre, Zhou Hui, Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division of ASEAN-China Centre, Bapak Yaya Sutarya, Education Attaché of the Embassy of Indonesia in China, U Soe Pyae Win, Second Secretary of the Myanmar Embassy in China attended the meeting.
2019 ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp was sponsored by the ASEAN-China Center and organized by Jilin University. From December 17th to 22nd, 22 students from 10 ASEAN countries, Japan, R.O.K. and 6 JLU students participated in the camp. The camp offered activities in ice and snow, academic and cultural exchanges, providing a platform for young people from the aforementioned countries to experience diverse culture and unique humanities of China, furthering the the mutual understanding of youths both at home and abroad and deepening their friendships. This has been the second time for Jilin University to organize the ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp since 2017.
