Associate Prof. SHAN Jiangdong’s research fields include computational electromagnetism and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) technology. Since 2003, he has been engaged in the teaching and research of electromagnetic field and microwave technology, laser modulation and control, etc. In recent years, he has published more than 20 papers, participated in the National Natural Science Foundation project "Ultra-high speed active mode-locked fiber laser true self-starting and stability research" and other 7 scientific research projects. Besides, he authorized 6 China’s national invention patents and 2 utility model patents.

Research Areas

1.Computational Electromagnetism and Electromagnetic Compatibility Technology: Specifically including the electromagnetic scattering and radiation in complex environment algorithm research;Research on the simulation calculation method of microstrip antenna radiation field; Research on efficient hybrid calculation method for electromagnetic scattering of composite targets; Research on electromagnetic simulation of microwave and RF integrated circuits; Characteristics and applications of novel microwave photonic crystals; Study on shielding characteristics of composite metal foam; Application of new electromagnetic shielding absorbing materials in information security and stealth fields.

2.Antenna and radio frequency technology: Specifically including radio frequency identification system microstrip antenna research; Research on anti-collision technology of RFID; Research on RFID Spatial Positioning and Tracking System; Research on the design theory and method of frequency reconfigurable, polarization reconfigurable and pattern reconfigurable antennas with universal ability in multi-frequency and multi-mode electromagnetic environment; Research on the mechanism and design of radio frequency antenna miniaturization.
